Story

Well the bad news is, I have had to withdraw from the 2011 London Marathon due to a stress fracture, 9 days before the race, confirmed by X-Ray I am gutted to say the least. The GOOD news is I am now running two Half Marathons in 2012 giving me another year of fundraising & training before I conquer London in 2013! I am very grateful to those of you that have sponsored me to date both on and offline, the donations are going to a great cause, and you will get my pound of flesh - or several - as I intend to continue training to make sure I am in tip top condidtion for 2012 & 2013.

I am first running 13.1 miles in the Silverstone half marathon on March 11th 2012. I then am heading to the worlds biggest & most iconic half marathon another 13.1 miles The Great North Run!

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. For those of you who do not know me personally I would like to give you a brief insight into my life...

I am 30 years old, and I have a beautiful 2 year old son Zavier. I have for the past 11 years been running our family business FREEDOM THE DIALYSIS HOLIDAY SPECIALIST. You may have figured from the name that we organise holidays for people with renal failure on dialysis. We are the only UK travel agency that offers this. I am lucky enough to say that I enjoy my job, as I get to see first hand that what we are doing makes such a difference to patient's lives. One thing I have realised over the years is that unless you have personal experience of renal failure and dialysis - you have probably never heard of it! My aim is to raise awareness of Renal failure and also raise as much money as possible for my charity.

For years I have wanted to run the London Marathon and raise money for a charity for Kidney Patients. The National Kidney Federation is a UK charity ran by patients for patients. The NKF has only two roles campaigning for improvements to renal provision and treatment, and national patient support services.

So I have dusted off my running shoes and I am taking on the ultimate challenge... Please Please donate...any amount...It all helps & I will keep you up to date on my progress

THANK YOU
