Story
LIBRA is hosting a charity film screening of the new George Clooney film, ‘Up In The Air,’ at Farnham Maltings on Tuesday 27th April. The event is being held to raise funds for the Cell Therapy Unit at King’s College Hospital in London, where health experts develop life saving treatments for leukaemia and other degenerative diseases. The fundraiser will begin at 6.30pm and guests will be able to enjoy drinks in the venues newly built ‘under croft’ bar area. A buffet will be served in the Great Hall, followed by the movie which recently received a BAFTA Award. The event is already proving popular with tickets in high demand.
The film night will be a memorable occasion, bringing our supporters together for a fantastic cause. The Maltings is a superb venue and organisers are delighted that we will be screening ‘Up In The Air’ in the town for the first time. All proceeds will go towards equipping the Cell Therapy Unit at King’s College Hospital and through the Lions we have been supporting the department for more than 30 years. The Professors are world renowned and treat patients with a variety of health issues including diabetes, cancer and liver disease. We are grateful to all those who can attend and look forward to a night of big screen entertainment.
