Hello everyone, On 24 September I will embark on a 60m(!) bike ride across East Anglia in memory of Laura Case. Laura was killed just after her 24th birthday in Feb 2007 in a traffic accident in Uganda while working at a hospital as part of her final year's medical training. The Trust has been set up by her friends and family to celebrate Laura's life and to support projects she would have felt important. These are in the medical and educational fields; and are the sort of projects where comparatively small amounts of money given directly will have a significant effect. We will be cycling from Cambridge to Diss, which I'm told is quite far - I'm guessing about 60m. Obviously, I'm too frightened to look at a map. It's also a little bit hilly and very windy apparently, so I could use all the support I can get! If you're in a position to contribute, it will be a massive help. For more info on the trust: http://www.thelauracasetrust.org/ Thanks and wish me luck!
And a note from JustGiving on how it works:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
