Another year and another challenge! Well what did you expect! This time along with four great friends I will be taking on God's …. KILIMANJARO!
Mount Kilimanjaro is situated on the northern border of , overlooking . It is the tallest free standing mountain in the world rising 4800m above the African plains.
We set off on Friday 16th July and land in on the 17th ready to begin the 6 day ascent on the 18th. Our route is called the '' and we will be tackling 'Big Kili' from the north eastern side.
Yes our journey will be tough! And yes I wonder how we will deal with scary things like altitude sickness. But it wouldn't be half as exciting if it was easy!
I'm sure that with enough preparation and will power we should all reach the top in one piece!:)
For this challenge I would ask you to help me raise money for the fabulous Watford New Hope Trust Charity! The charity works with homeless and disadvantaged people in the local area providing them with practical support such as food, shelter, clothing, health care and training as well as building relationships, caring and listening.
This charity is very important to me as I have grown up in the area of and feel a great sense of pride to be able to support the people within it. I have also volunteered at the Day Centre, one of their many project sites and have seen the positive effect this charity and its staff have on the community as a whole!
