Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. All money donated though Just Giving will be donated to the Cape ITU Fundraiser though the Diced Cap Charity.
Our Story:-
Mark and I will be driving our own teams of spirited huskies 250km across the Arctic from Norway to Sweden. Civilisation will be left far behind and we will be finishing at the world famous Ice Hotel in Jukarssarvi
Spend six days sledding through rolling highlands and deep forests, into the heart of Lapland on an experience we will never forget. Will it be for the right or wrong reasons???
The adventure begins in the city of Tromso, at the Dog Sled Centre where we meet some of the fellow mushers and also, the Team of Huskies. We then dive straight into the spirit of adventure and spend our first night in a traditional Lavvo, surrounding the roaring fire.
This will be no ordinary Charity Challenge, we will be required to erect our own tents and also cook for ourselves using camping equipment. As well as taking care of ourselves, we will also be required to help harness, feed and clean up after the Team of Huskies ( Poop a scoop, great, they will be a little bigger than Harvey's, our dog). A real, “hands on” Challenge
This will be a trip of a life time but we are doing it for one reason only and that is to raise money for the Cape ITU Fundraiser. Mark and I have both paid for our trips ourselves so all money raised will be going straight to the charity.
Please dip deep people, if not for us for the hospital and the wonderful staff that work at the ITU.
Just want to leave you with one thought, I totally hate the cold and even in Aberdeen I moan, so this is a very big trip for
me with tempetures going down to -20 at night, so any money you can give will make it worth me moaning .
GOOD NEWS:- We made the Aberdeen Press and Journal page 4 today 10/2/10
Thank you in advance
