Story

Update 3 - 23rd October 2011

Back from the CKDCF charity weekend, felt really guilty about not getting anywhere near my target weight. Had a bad year with redundancy, job uncertainty, ill health, health issues with close family members, I could go on, but in a nutshell I failed.

As of tomorrow my quest for a new me begins again, I will jump on the scales in the morning and set a realistic target.

Thank you to all of the people who donated money for my first attempt, I managed to lose 2 stones, put some (I don't think all) of it back on.

Update 2 - 28th January 2011

The diet is progressing, as of today I am 14lbs/1 stone lighter, still haven't gone off track and being able to eat anything is a bonus (obviously I have to make allowance for it within my points!). The iPhone app is great too, being able to look food items up when in the shop is great.

Thanks for the sponsorship to date.

Update 1 - 19th January 2011

Two weeks into the diet and I have lost 10lbs, things are going well and I am struggling to eat all of my points, happy with the weight loss which included a weekend away!

Starting Point

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I am going on a diet ('about time too' I hear you say), I have decided to do this for charity to help motivate me. My target islosing 5 stone 6 lbs, 76lbs in old money or 34.5kgs in metric.

I am raising money for the Charlie and Kathleen Dunnery Children's Fund which was formed in 2002 with the sole aim of raising funds for children's health, wellness and educational needs in and around the Cumbria area. My link to the charity is my love of Francis Dunnery's music and our yearly trip to the October charity weekend, this is also the deadline for my official weigh in.

My current weight is a whopping 20st 6lbs (gulp), with an aim of achieving 15st 0lbs.
