Story
Hello!
Thank you for getting this far and looking at my and my team's Just Giving page for the Walk for Water 2009.
I will be walking 7 miles in a Sari around Hampton Court and the River Thames - it could be more arduous I agree but it is worth supporting me for the following reasons:
a) my Dad will be happy!
b) Jeevika's projects are brilliant and beautiful and could be used as case studies and inspiration for similar projects in other parts of the world - eg breeding fish in ponds and reservoirs - villagers can not only eat the fish but sell them too (give a man a rod..), eg showing women how to keep bees and produce prized honey, giving people the simple 'appropriate technology' to make their own bricks to build homes using local clay/ mud, teaching people how to rear and breed goats - again not just to get milk from but also to eat and sell. Life-changing projects executed with love and humanity in partnership with effective local people. No waste.
Could you support me with £25? £15? £5?
As you know, this website is safe and secure and a tax efficient way to give.
Thank you. I will see and acknowledge whatever you do donate.
Love Leila
