My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Nearly 2 years ago I ran John O Groats to Lands End with Matt Pritchard and Matthew 'Dykey' Ryan. After that I vowed never to do anything as stupid as run 33 miles a day with two Welsh idiots ever again.
Somehow I've agreed to run 50 miles in a day with the exact same two Welsh idiots.
The Cardiff Aspire Ultra http://www.ultrarace.co.uk/events/details/?eventid=110 - is a 50 mile race along the Taff Trail, beginning in Brecon and finishing in Cardiff. It's on the 20th May 2012. Not sure about the race part, I'll be just trying to finish the distance while there's still some daylight!
After the realisation that I'd signed up for more painful weeks of training, I decided that if I was to go through that pain, it might as well be for a charity that has a meaning to me.
On a recent trip to Leeds I met up with an old friend who works for The Youth Association. He told me about the great work that they do and also that they have had to cut staff recently and really need more donations.
