At the tender age of 34 I have decided to run my first marathon. Stretcher-bearers have been booked and a new hip ordered but you only live once right….

Crossing the finish line on my feet rather than crawling in a time under 4 hours (that’s the plan) will be a monumental achievement so I need some motivation - this is where you come in.

Phabkids aims to promote and encourage people with and without physical disabilities to come together on equal terms, to achieve complete integration within the wider community and to make more of life together.

I am of an age where my peer group is being blessed with parenthood. I see the joy it brings to my friends and equally want to do my bit for those that are brought into this world with a tougher future.   

I know times are tough but any donation, however big or small, will really make a difference to both the charity and my motivation.
