Story
LAYabout The Great Glen Way
I am Lesslie A Young Chief Executive of Epilepsy Scotland. My husband Ian and I will be will be walking The Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness! We will walk 73 miles over 5 days in March 2010 to raise money for Epilepsy Scotland. We will begin our journey on Thursday 25th March and hope to reach Inverness on Monday 29th March.
I can talk for Britain! Now I’m going to walk for Epilepsy Scotland. I need you, your family, your friends to help me reach my target of £4,000 or more! That’s 10p for each of the 40,000 people living with epilepsy in Scotland and that number is increasing. Some are born with epilepsy, some acquire the condition later in life. It respects no one.
I know from personal experience the impact the diagnosis of epilepsy can have. My daughter Sophie developed the condition at the age of 10 months following a viral infection of her brain. I am not asking you to walk the 73 miles, just to dig deep and give as much as you can. You won't just get one thank-you, you'll get 40,000 if you do!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Please remember if you are a UK taxpayer to Gift Aid your donation. Epilepsy Scotland can reclaim 28p of every £1 we receive, at absolutely no extra cost to you! A donation of £10 would be worth an extra £2.80. If you are eligible to gift aid please don’t forgot!
Thanks
Lesslie aka LAYabout!
