Swimathon 2020 is back! Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the event will be coming as a brand-new virtual event! 

Cancer Research UK, the worlds leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through funding research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 cancer types..

Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in peoples homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.

Together we can really make a difference.

I am swimming for cancer research and Marie curie because I enjoy swimming and want to make a difference. Cancer has no preference. It can effect any body and there are already thousands of people fighting it everyday. We can’t beat it without the research and care that is giving by both cancer research and Marie curie. When I did swimathon in 2018 I completed the 5k challenge. This year I have set myself a target of 10k. Due to COVID-19 the swimathon challenge will be completed slightly differently in that I will be achieving my target at various sessions before the October 31st  instead of in one session.
