Our son, David now aged 31, fought and beat Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2004. So we were doubly devastated when he was diagnosed with a very rare type of brain tumour, an ependymoma, in Sept 2008. We were appalled to discover that research in to this type of tumour was virtually non-existent and that funding for research in to brain tumours, generally, was very limited. Astro Fund is the ONLY British based charity which exclusively raises funds for research in to David's type of tumour and so you can see why we are desperate to raise money - so needed if we are to help David and others like him.
