As some of you are aware I am doing my bit for charity this year. I have decided to climb mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest freestanding mountain.
As some of you may also be aware, this will be an extremely challenging event for me (lot's of hard work at the gym for the next few months!!) so I would be very grateful if you could all dig deep and help me on my way!
In addition to the climb, 3 days prior I will be volunteering my services to communities that are in desperate need of assistance at the foot of the mountain. This will be helping a school to create a recreational area, so that children have somewhere to play sports and games and helping with the herb and vegetable nursery.
I would like to raise an minimum of £3500 for the charity. Just to let you know some facts and figures, the money that you donate will help the charity to support more men with prostate cancer and their families....£500 could pay for 75 tool kits, comprehensive information about the cancer, £1000 could support a weeks worth of research into treating advanced prostate cancer and £2500 could fund an information officer to write a fact sheet for over 9000 men diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.
