After the death of a baby, some parents say their lives and they, themselves, are changed forever. Sands knows that bereavement does not have a beginning and end. It is rather a journey with an ever-changing landscape.
Sands is a UK charity that supports families when their baby dies and works hard to prevent future losses.
Sands has supported many families after their baby/babies went to heaven to live with the angels. It is a tremendous charity that has allowed bereaved parents (and extended family members) to speak to each other and despite never wanting to be part of this 'club' we are all eternally grateful that we found SANDS.
Liverpool Sands hope to raise awareness and continue to support families and need £5000 to purchase a personalised Sands Superlambanana. This sculpture will be dedicated to the memory of all babies who have died and will reside in a tranquil place where parents, family and friends can all remember their baby.
We have many fundraising events currently being planned.

When God calls little children to dwell with Him aboveWe mortals sometime question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with, the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world, seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold.
So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, and so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye"
So when a little child departs, we who are left behind,
Must realize God loves children and "Angels are hard to find".
