Hello!

I have some rather major news for you. I have made a big decision: after over 4 years of having my dreadlocks I feel it is Time to Get Rid. YIKES!!!!

As of the 21st October 2006 I will have no more itchy, scratchy hair, no more smelling like wet dog, no more neckache, no more sore scalp. Hurrah! It's going to be very wierd to have no hair though. Hey-ho...

Anyway, because this is really quite a major thing for me, and because I will miss the old ropes loads, I thought I would try to make something of the event, so I would absolutely love it if you would sponsor me to do this.

You may think I have a little bit of a nerve to ask for sponsorship to get a haircut - but this ain't no ordinary haircut! I have grown these babies for years now and they have been a big part of my life - this is not an easy decision to make. However, it will make my mother, the Excellent Sue Curren, an extremely happy laydee to see me with a shorn head! PLUS, all proceeds from this will go to one of the best charities there is in existence. Refuge (www.refuge.org.uk) has worked hard for the last 30 years to provide shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence, to support them in positively rebuilding their lives, and to campaign to raise awareness of the issue and to prevent further domestic violence. Basically, it's an utterly, utterly brilliant charity and it needs financial support!
