It all started with a 5K race in July (2006) in aid of Cancer Research UK and now here I am over 22 miles worth of races later (including a 7K race entirely in a full hairy gorilla suit!) entered into my longest race yet!

   I am so excited to be able to take part in this race! 13.1 miles is a long way... and I need your support!

   After my father died of Lung Cancer, I have been trying to get healthy and to support cancer research in every way possible. It was a horrible experience watching the effects of cancer, not only on my father but on everyone around him. I don't think anyone should ever have to go through that. I am doing my part to help raise money so we can fight cancer and hopefully beat it. I've chosen the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign for this run because of the great work they have done for my father-in-law. The Royal Marsden helped him to beat cancer, twice!  It is something I am forever grateful for and I feel I must repay them somehow.

   I'll be running/jogging 13.1 miles, all I'm asking you to do is to donate a little money and be there with me in spirit.  This race is just under a month before my 30th birthday in 2007 so make it an early birthday present if you must. Just do it! Donate to this great cause! Together we can make a difference!
