Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 11th October I'll be running the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon (13.2 miles) in memory of my god-daughter, Holly Hodge. Holly was diagnosed with a rare liver disease shortly after her birth. She died in 2004 at the age of 4.
I'm seeking sponsorship to raise money for the Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF). The CLDF supports families of babies and children with liver disease as well as promoting research into liver disorders and training healthcare professionals. I would like to raise money to contribute to the CLDF's Holly Hodge Memorial Fund which Holly's parents set up after her death.
I was intending to run a marathon in Holly's memory, but have decided that a half-marathon is probably going to be the furthest I'll ever run. When the going gets tough I'll be calling on memories of Holly's beauty and bravery to get me through.
Any donations, however small, can help the CLDF in fighting childhood liver disease.
