In a couple of weeks time on 26th September, I'm flying out to Sardinia where i'll spend a week swimming between a small group of islands off the North Coast of Sardinia (Maddalena is the main one, for those who know the area). I'm going as part of a group and we aim to swim about 5km a day which represents a huge personal challenge to me - not least as the water temperature will be about 23degrees and i believe in the sea there are things called waves....(not to mention sea monsters).
Will you sponsor me? I'm raising money for our local primary school, where all 4 Ordish children will attend from Jan next year. The school's over 100 years old and badly in need of rennovation so the children have an up-to-date building that is suitable for teaching today. There's a rather massive target that we need to raise of £180,000 - so i'm hoping to make a significant chunk of money to put into the pot.
