Well it lived up to expectations. Great fun and hilarious watching the Tourists reactions! I had the support of Shaun and Helen on the day, although declined carrying my pressie of an inflatable banana on route!

Why I did it?

I blame the KCL prescribing course, that's the truth of it. Whilst procrastinating and surfing Facebook I came across the Gorilla Run. I've ran for people before but not animals and thought I could share a little of my running talent. Obviously the fact I get to keep the Gorilla suit is a winner. I won't be precious with my suit and if you have the desire or need to wear a Gorilla suit I will be happy to oblige ( I'll give it a wash after the run to keep it fresh for you wanna be Gorilla's). 

On a more serious note the Gorilla Foundation does some amazing work with these great animals. The help protect Gorillas and their environment. They provide financial support for anti-poaching rangers, plant tree's to maintain the habitat and supporting the Forest. The indigenous people in these areas receive support and education from the Foundation to by the provision of land, tools, seeds, training, healthcare and assistance in generating income. Conservation is key to this Foundation.

Any penny, any pound. It all adds up so whether it's because you want to see me in all my furry Gorilla glory or you like what the Foundation your Sponsorship is greatly appreciated.

BTW I already have my first taker for the borrowing of the suit. It is pretty snazzy!
