We support people out of homelessness to help them regain their independence

Story

In September 2013 I will be starting my journey to trek Mount Kilimanjaro. I have run marathons, completed bike rides, slept rough and even abseiled for charity but I wanted to take it to a new level after what I have experienced this last year. There are two charities that I am raising money for, one is Worthing Churches Homeless Project. A charity that not only myself personally but my company dedicate a lot of time towards. The work they do to help the insecurely housed and homeless is incredible. I can’t imagine not having a safe place to call home which is why I want to raise as much money as possible for them. The other charity is one, to be honest, I wish I didn’t want to get involved with. Spinal Research is trying to make paralysis a thing of the past for people who have injured their spinal cord. Last year an incredibly dear friend did just that and seeing what this type of injury can do, to not only the person involved but their family and friends broke my heart. The feeling of being utterly powerless to help someone you love in this situation has made me want to help Spinal Research achieve their desire of making paralysis a thing of the past so no one else has to go through this.

Below is the info on how to donate but I thank you for taking the time to read about why I am doing all of this. I think when you can’t help physically make a situation better the next best thing is to team up with loads of people who are all aiming for the same goal thus making you stronger and more likely to succeed. Thank you for helping me.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

You are all wonderful and when I say thank you it comes from the bottom of my heart.
