Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We are walking the bounds of Maidenhead (thanks to the Rotary Club who organise it) on 4th Oct. See www.boundarywalk.org.uk for more details of the walk and the route, which is about 14 miles long. We are raising general funds to support the work of re:charge in Maidenhead and are hoping that it won't be quite as wet as last year! Having been a volunteer and trustee for a number of years I've seen first hand what a support re:charge is to young families and young people. Many of those coming to re:charge face significant challenges such as family breakdown, drug and alcohol abuse and domestic violence. Providing a safe place for parents and their children to come and play and find a friendly face makes the world of difference. Our youth work provides opportunities for young people to be creative and take responsibility and its been great to see so many of them grow in confidence and develop skills over the years.
