Hiya, and thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Temwa is a Bristol-based organisation that raises funds to implement sustainable community-based projects in Malawi, southern Africa. Our projects cover four key areas: Health Education, Skills Development, Agriculture and Irrigation, and Schools Support.
On 26th September we shall be taking part in a 60 mile sponsored bike ride. The route starts along the Avon Cycle Path (also the National Cycle Network route 41) and will take us north through the city centre, through the Avon Gorge, along the River Avon. We'll pass through Pill, Easton-in-Gordano and Portbury and continue along this B-road, which runs parallel to the M5. We'll follow this path until Clevedon where we'll skirt the town and start heading south, to Kenn and eventually onto Yatton.
At Yatton we'll join the Strawberry Line, which is an 8 mile traffic-free path that will take us down to Cheddar.
At Cheddar, we'll ride through the Gorge along the B3135 to a village called Priddy.
At Priddy we'll join the NCN route 3, which will take us up through the Chew Valley, passing lovely little villages along the way (Hinton Blewett and Stanton Drew). At Pensford we'll start heading north to join the Whitchurch Railway Path which will take us back into the city centre and to the finish line.
