Story
I was looking for an imaginative fundraising challenge. Then I got in touch with Ben Hammond of LearnBurma. Ben has danced marathons up and down the land, broken world records in dance and astounded many by raising thousands of pounds.
I decided to take part in the Birmingham leg of Dance Britain for Burma, which includes 50 consecutive marathons Ben is dancing from John O'Groats to Land's End. I ran around parks in north London waving my arms around to train for the big day on Saturday, 22 September when I danced 26.2 miles from Cosford into central Birmingham with a group of other fundraisers.
Burma is at the cusp of exciting and positive change. Dance Britain for Burma is raising money for charities supporting this transition, including LearnBurma, Amnesty International, Development and Prospect Burma, Burma Campaign UK and Partner's Relief.
