My story
We all lead active lives and in the event of someone i know having an accident or myself, its reassuring to know that these guys at BASICS Hampshire, who are voluntary Doctors have the equipment that can save a life. Its about being equipped for the worst. My hat goes off to these doctors who give their time, so we can all help by donating to BASICS Hampshire.
I shall be setting off from Hill Head Sailing Club singlehanded in a Laser1 at around 3 am Saturday June 9th 2012 it will be a challenge to keep in sync with the tides and i am hoping that it will take around 9 -10 hours. This is of course wind, wave and visibility dependent.

We had a great day at Hill Head Sailing Club today for our PR Launch. We raised £320 towards out target so thank you to all the members for their support. There will be a Social Fund Raising evening on Saturday 26th May and more details will follow soon!

Supporting Hampshire Ambulance Service with specialist out-of-hospital medical help during serious or major incidents. Members number 30 doctors and 1 nurse, all providing their time on a voluntary, unpaid basis. All equipment and training is paid for by local fundraising. BASICS Hampshire annually receives over 700 requests for assistance."
