My story

Firstly, a big thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you know my mum Rita was diagnosed with Breast Cancer just before Christmas. She is currently undergoing treatment and is making good progress which we are obviously hoping continues.

Until a few months ago I naively never realised just how many lives are affected by breast cancer and how common it really is. Along with the research being carried out, the emotional support and advice Breast Cancer Care provide for patients really is amazing. However, this can only be done with the help of donations and sponsorship and this is where hopefully you will be able to help!!

I am cycling from London to Paris from the 1st-5th August and each day will involve between 60-95 miles or around 8 hours on the bike! Any donation made will be gratefully received and I'm sure will give me more motivation for the training I will be doing!!

£2 pays for a headscarf for women who suffer from hair loss due to the treatment they receive.

£10 pays for a comprehensive information pack for someone newly diagnosed with breast cancer.

£52 pays for a personal appointment with a breast cancer expert to help women cope with the distress of hair loss caused by the treatment. It also allows them to try various head attire to find out what will suit them.

Any donations you are able to make really would be brilliant and will go towards a very worthy cause.
