You'd think I'd have learnt my lesson..... In May 2013 I tackled my first ever marathon in Edinburgh; it was an amazing experience but it hurt - a lot!  For a few days after I said "Never again", a week or so later, when the legs were back to normal, I said "Maybe...".  In October I found out that I'd won a place in the 2014 London Marathon... Every runner has to do London, at least once, right? 

This will be the 3rd time that I have collected sponsorship for Velindre. A lot of very generous people have supported my running and collectively donated over £2500.  It seems like we are being asked to give to good causes nearly every day but if you are able to make a donation, however small, it will be very much appreciated.

Supporting the work of Velindre Cancer Centre is important to me and my family because the staff there provided fantastic care and treatment for my Dad throughout his illness. He lost his battle with cancer over 10 years ago but with early diagnosis and improved treatment many more people can now survive this terrible disease; your donations will be used to support research and provide specialist treatment and equipment to help with this essential work.
