And just when you thought it was safe to put your money away - here it is again, The Great North Run! As you can see I'm running again for The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and have simply extended my Triple Challenge target. Of course I'm incredibly grateful for your amazing generosity so far but if you'd like to dip into your pockets once again any donation, no matter how big or small will be very much appreciated.
I was proud to attend the High Street Fashion Awards last week as part of my Woman of Courage Award where over £22,000 was raised on the night from women simply having a good time. As well as the fundraising however, people have told me since I received my award that seeing people taking part in sporting and fundraising events, despite a diagnosis of cancer, gives patients and their families inspiration, encouragement and hope and so for that reason, not to mention my own health and enjoyment, I'll keep on running, and hope that you will keep on giving!

I have been able to continue running not least because of the excellent care and attention I received at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care and the Sir Bobby Robson Clinical Trials Centre.
