Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know we tragically lost our youngest son, Iain in October 2007. He was killed when a car was accidently started on our own drive. It is immediately apparent that cars should not be able to start accidently and I wanted to ensure this never happened again.
Consequently we set up a charitable trust in Iain's name and further information can be found on our website:
Our friends and family have been unbelievably generous over the last 18 months or so and we have managed to raise a considerable sum of money to fund our awareness campaigns. But the reality is, printing brochures, publiscing our website and producing other awareness items is expensive and we wish to cover all of the UK.
After completing a couple of marathons for Iain's Trust I now intend to cycle across the Pyreneees from the Atlantic to the Mediteranean in 100 hours (including sleeping and eating!). This is a distance of approximately 450 miles and a total ascent of over 11,000m - considerably higher than Mount Everest! Flights are booked and I will start pedaling on the 21st September 2010, so please make the pain worthwhile.
