Stick it to MS 2012 · 15 July 2012 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

You know how much you love it when your colleague taps out a paradiddle on the desk next to you?

Or when the guy on the bus, with the oversized headphones, plays along to Foo Fighters on his knees with complete disregard for his fellow passengers.

Have you ever thought "I will literally pay you to go away?"

Well... Now you can!!

For a charitable donation of £5 or more, you can finally rid yourself of the incessant rhythmical noise produced by 3 of these very culprits, and it's all for a good cause.

Stick it to MS is a Charity World Record Attempt, taking place in Manchester on Sunday 15th July, with an aim of bringing together over 800 drummers all playing a simple groove, in unison, for over 5 minutes straight...

I know what you're thinking, it's hard enough getting one drummer to play in time, never mind 800. Har, har, very good... BUT SERIOUSLY:

Multiple sclerosis affects around 100,000 people in the UK. It's a condition of the central nervous system. Basically, there's a substance called 'myelin' which coats and protects your nerve fibres, allowing messages to be sent smoothly between your brain and the rest of your body. With MS, your immune system mistakes myelin for a foreign body and attacks it, causing severe sensory a mobility problems.

Team MIPro consists of Rob Baker, Alex Boucher and Nick Baker, all of whom are making the back breaking treck up the M1 with full drumkits to help raise money for The MS Society. Back in 2009, we raised a total of £747 this year we aim to raise £1,000 and we need your help!!

Please donate here, all contributions will be greately received and we look forward to smashing our monster £1,000 target with YOUR help!

Rob, Alex & Nick

Team MIPro
