We want Reform Judaism to engage and inspire more people, young and old, whatever their background, wherever they are in the country.
We know that increasing numbers of British Jews share our values of informed choice, egalitarianism, inclusivity and engaging with Jewish texts and tradition.
This is why the Movement for Reform Judaism works to meet the spiritual, social and educational needs of thousands of people in 42 communities across the UK. We do this through focussing on education, outreach, social action, conversion, Israel and interfaith activities, as well as representing Reform Judaism in the Jewish and wider community.
Over the last year alone, more than 2000 people engaged directly in our programmes whether it be through taking part in RSY-Netzer’s youth activities; being part of the conversion process led by our Beit Din; attending our biennial conference; enjoying Jeneration’s student and young adult education programmes or benefitting from our outreach work. In addition, more than 200 people, every day, go to our website to find out about Reform Judaism, to learn from our rabbis and to hear about what is happening in our communities.
However, for Reform Judaism to succeed and continue developing this work we need your help. We understand that these are difficult times economically. Over the last 18 months we’ve lost 14% of our fundraised income from sources totally beyond our control - other Jewish organisations, charitable trusts and government.
This is why your support is so important to us.
Please respond positively and generously. You can rest assured that your gift will be spent wisely and make a real difference to people’s Jewish lives.
