Welcome Supporters!
Any donation will add up to help us to hit our target! International Childcare Trust's sister organisation in the US now has tax deductible status. Please make a US tax deductable donation at: www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/magzmaia-trek-mount-kenya/trek-mt-kenya-2011. If you wish to make a US tax deductible donation, by post, please make checks payable to: 'International Childcare Trust USA' and send to: International Childcare Trust USA, 3013 Fairhaven Lane, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156-6757. With a covering note that reads, 'this is to support Magz & Maia's 2010/11 fundraising effort!'
We want to raise £10,000 for children who live in the most difficult circumstances that you can imagine before the end of this financial year and the two of us must hit our first milestone of £4000 before 5 August!
Mount Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain and this is going to be a massive challenge for both Magz & Maia! The trek is now going to take place in Oct/Nov. International Childcare Trust is having a tough year and we are trying to raise £10,000, but we cannot do it without your help your help!
We know that convenience is KING, so if you are thinking of making a donation of under £300, here and now is the best place to do it. If you wish to give over £300, it's probably best to write a cheque (as justgiving takes a hefty percentage for the convenience of using the credit card) and send it to Magz's attention at:
International Childcare Trust
Development House
56-64 Leonard Street
London EC2A 4LT
We are going to need a lot more help to raise 10,000 pounds! Thanks so much to all who have donated already! And thanks to the school mate's of Maia's who already had one fundraiser to help us reach our target. Those of you who have not yet had the chance, please do so now!
To be honest, we would much prefer for anyone reading this to Trek Mount Kenya with us (www.trek-mount-kenya.com) in Oct - Nov 2011, so you can actually SEE some of the work that you are supporting. If you cannot pull that off- all amounts, small, medium large, are immensely appreciated!
International Childcare Trust has made so much progress over the years thanks to people like you. A few years back, International Childcare Trust was a only working in 3 countries with 4 partners; its income was fairly flat; and it helped the same number of children each year. Thanks to the success of overseas challenges and people like you, International Childcare Trust is now an international NGO that works in 7 countries with 12 partners on over 20 projects each year! And each year, it raises more income and reaches more of the world's most vulnerable children! International Childcare Trust could not have developed so much without the support of individuals like you!
We know that you all know by now that Magz can cycle or trek her heart out for International Childcare Trust. She keeps going because she loves building relationships with International Childcare Trust supporters and seeing the work that it does for herself, so that she is not removed from the most important work on the ground, but this will TRULY BE THE CHALLENGE OF A LIFETIME FOR MAIA. SHE NEEDS ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT!
International Childcare Trust's current financial year runs until 31 March 2012.
Can you help us to help them, please? Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to us.
Much love,
Magz & Maia
