Story

Malcolm Wicks campaigned tirelessly for carers' rights for many years helping to win many victories to ensure carers have access to the right help and support. One of Malcolm's major political acheivements was presenting a Private Member's Bill to Parliament which became the Carers (Recognition and Services) Act 1995.  Malcolm was Vice President of Carers UK; a charity that supports the 6.4 million carers in the UK.  For further details of Malcolm's involvement with the charity please visit  http://www.carersuk.org/newsroom/latest-about-carers/item/2758-tribute-to-malcolm-wicks-mp

Prior to his death, Malcolm expressed a wish that anyone choosing to make a charitable donation in his memory to consider Carers UK.  All donations will go to support their work with carers.
