This particular project is about helping the work of the woman who is responsible for getting me out to Kenya in the first place, and keeping me there

For over 20 years Felista Kibe has looked after the street children, the orphans, the abandoned and vulnerable children of the Nairobi slums. She fed them, cared for them ... and now she has 50 abandoned children in a rented property where she looks after them, educated them, cares for the sick, reassures the frightened and gives a life back to those who had none to speak of.

Land has been bought - a quarter acre plot - by a sponsor and we want to build a home and a school for Felista's Children there. For them and all the many who will come after them over the years.

Felista's home has always been home to the HIV+ mothers and children who tend to be ostracised elsewhere. The community calls it The Place Where No One Hides Their Face.  Children grow up there secure and without prejudice.

To do this we need £25,000

And in October we will go and build the home. 

Felista's Children will be home for Christmas.  You can't really give a child much more than that.
