My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As u know GOSH is very close to my heart, my cheeky nephew Milan Singh Lall at the age of 3 was diagnosed with burkitts lymphoma. The tumour was in his abdominal cavity and as the only symptom was occasional tummy ache was undetected by doctors until the pain became so acute he could hardly stand without being in pain. After much persuading from my sis in law, doctors agreed to a blood test and CT scans to determine what was wrong. This then showed the Tumour and he was referred to GOSH for intense chemotherapy. He remained there continuously for 8 weeks before being allowed home for just two days before going back for more chemo which lasted 9 months our lives were at a standstill...

Thankfully he has been in remission since September 2011.

We are eternally grateful to all the staff on elephant ward for their amazing support and care and I promised everyone that I would do this challenge once he was out.  everyone knows I keep my promises!!!.

A massive thank you to all that contributed cakes, belly space and donations within E&O at Barnet for the cake sale to help me raise money. The samosas went down a treat and everyones baking was amazing. We raised £276,a special thanks to Reeta Shah for arranging this event..
