My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Running the London Marathon has never been at the top of my list of the things that I must do but I have been given the opportunity to participate in this great event and to raid money for an absolutely fantastic cause. For those who know me, I am always up for a challenge!
Baby Lifeline is a charity that I have come to know through my ownership of Bumpalicious Maternity and one that I support through the business.
Judy, the founder of Baby Lifeline suffered the terrible loss of three premature babies. Sadly, I have many friends who also lost their precious baby at birth or soon afterwards. I woud like to do all that I can to prevent such tragedies happening to other people. Did you know that even today more than 8,500 babies still die at or around the time of birth. Many of these deaths are preventable.
Baby Lifeline works with leading health and legal professionals to identify and prioritise equipment needs for the maternity sector, as well as helping to provide cutting edge training for continuing professional development - to improve care already given.
Equipment ranges from small items such as digital weighing scales for babies to major pieces of technology such as incubators, scanners and various monitoring equipment.
The smallest amount can help as follows:
£32 buys a arm/ankle cuff for a baby
£130 buys a fetal doppler monitor
£125 buys a TENS machine
£19.14 buys a stethoscope
Every penny raised really does make a difference and will help to save a life. I know that things are hard but please do be as generous as you can.

I did it! I completed the Marathon in 4 hours 20 minutes. Thank you for all your support!
Helen and I ran it in 4 hours 20 minutes which we are pretty pleased with! Thank you so much for all your support - it really means a great deal to us.
Keri ran it in 3 hours 26 minutes (which is in the top 10% of all finishers).
We both did it! I can't say that it was easy and I can't really remember much of the last 4/5 miles!
