Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.</p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">On the weekend of the </span><span style="font-size: small;">25th</span><span style="font-size: small;">, 26th and 27th </span><span style="font-size: small;"> of May, the Directors of Caernarfon Town FC will be making 3 journeys to commemorate noteworthy times in the recent history of the club, but most importantly to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Caernarfon Town.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Friday is FA Cup Day. </span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">From Eastwood in the Midlands, to Chester LeStreet in the North East to Marine in Liverpool. This 500 mile journey marks the Club&rsquo;s success in the FA Cup in the 1986/7 season<span style="mso-ansi-language: EN;">. Under the Management of JohnKing, Caernarfon Town defeated Fourth Division Stockport County at the Oval and then defeated Third Division York City in a replay before losing a third round replay again to Second Division Barnsley by a goal to nil</span>.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Saturday is League of Wales/Welsh Premier Day.</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">Commemorating Caernarfon Town&rsquo;s exploits in the nation&rsquo;s Premier League since its return from the English Pyramid. Another 500 mile journey it will take in all the Clubs Caernarfon have played in the League since 1995. From Cemaes Bay in the far West, to Cefn Druids, Cwmbran and Haverfordwest, this will be the marathon of the journeys, taking in over<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>clubs.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Sunday is Welsh Cup Day.</span></span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">A tour featuring all the clubs Town have played in the Welsh Cup in the last 25 years in North Wales. This gives the opportunity to visit some of the less obvious clubs, such as Llay RBL in Wrexham, and Shrewsbury Town, who once, like a number of Marches based teams, played in the Welsh Club.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">The tour is intended to raise funds for the Marie Curie Cancer Charity and for the Development of Caernarfon Town&rsquo;s Youth Development.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Marc Roberts, the Club&rsquo;s Media Officer will take part over all three days, and will be supported by other Directors and team officials over the three days.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Money will be raised on a 50/50 basis, and overseen by Marie Curie&rsquo;s Area Fundraising Manager, Simone Williams.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">We will be updating twitter and facebook at each stage of the journey, taking a photo as evidence of the journey&rsquo;s progress. </span></span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> All the money raised through this page will go directly to Marie Curie.
