Story
Hello everybody, please can you just spare 5 minutes to read my son’s story. Seven years ago my first born son Marcus was born blind, yet this was not discovered until he was 3 and a half months old.
Once Marcus was diagnosed with septo optic dysplasia he was then to undertake a number of tests involving blood tests, and MRI scans, to check if his hormones were functioning right. Sadly after all of the upset it caused him, it came to light that Marcus did not produce his growth hormone due to his underdeveloped pituitary gland. From then on Marcus was then to go on and have a artificial growth hormone injection once a night to maintain his growth.
Medical research strongly suggests that stem cell treatment could help Marcus. He has a one in a life time opportunity to go to China and receive several stem cell injections in the hope that he will possibly gain some vision!
Should we exceed the target amount, the funds raised will go to the general funds of Tree of Hope to assist other sick children.
So please help Tree of Hope support Marcus so that he might see.
Thank you
