A month ago my country the Philippines has been devastated literally to the ground by two typhoons that rendered numerous families homeless, hundreds dead and thousands injured. These days any news of monsoon rains and impending typhoons make everyone shudder in fear as they remember the horror they've been through with the two major typhoons.
The indigents who used to call the streets their home have no streets to go back to as its mud and garbage ridden, those who lived in shanties just lost everything and can't build even the barest shell of a box until the debris are cleared, those who were rescued are now in evacuation centers fighting the diseases that are starting to quickly spread while dealing with lack of food, clean water to drink and medicines.
The DEC charities have seen how dire the situation is thus they have tagged the Philippines as one among those who need support along with Vietnam which has also been the victim of flooding brought by the typhoons and Jakarta which has been hit by an earthquake.
I have set-up this site so I can reach as many people as fast as I possibly could, so help can quickly be provided.
I know that it's impossible to raise enough money to fix all the problems, this is not my goal. What I aim to achieve is to raise as much as I can to give the survivors at least a fighting chance ...
