I am driving with two friends, Abdul Jolil and Ariful Alam Khan, from London to Bangladesh. We plan to leave London on 02/10/04, hoping to reach our hometown Sylhet, at the tail end of October.
We will drive through 2 continents, 13 countries, 6 time zones and over some 6,000-8,000 miles, and we plan to do it in record time!
This drive in memory of my late mother, who suffered from cancer. She passed away last October (2003). Marie Curie supported her and us through our moments of anguish. The work they do (totally free) with terminally ill people in the community is truly extraordinary.
Marie Curie Hampstead Hospice offers a holistic approach to care, including a gym and physiotherapists, reflexology, massage, and a hydrotherapy pool. This provides both in- and out-patients with a choice of care most suited to their needs'.
