Lakeland Radio, the Number 1 commercial Radio Station for the South Lakes* is supporting Manna House throughout 2010 as our charity of the year.
Our first fund raising event was on Saturday 30th January 2010 when presenter Marilyn Irons took part in a rough sleep for a night, to get an idea of what it's like to spend a night on the South Lakes streets. She was with a group of other local people including local MP Tim Farron. The event was to raise awareness and to raise funds for Manna House, Kendal.

All money raised through this Just Giving Website will go directly to Manna House so they can continue their excellent work.
To give you an idea of how Manna House will spend your kind donations
£3 will provide a meal voucher for a needy person
£5 will pay for train or bus fare for someone to
access accommodation elsewhere
£10 will help towards our food bill, or for items such as a pair of shoes or trousers for a rough sleeper.
£20 will buy one night's emergency accommodation
£75 pays a month's phone bill for the advice office
£150 is our average month's emergency kitty for our clients for food, B&B and fares to access jobs or accommodation
