Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have finally reached my Gap year aged 46 and after 2 years in the City's Finance Sector I have decided its time to shake myself out of my comfort zone and do something valuable for a cause which has for a long time been a focus of my attention: LINC the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund.  LINCs work is outstanding and keeps so many people with those really tough challenges firmly on track through their hardest times - seems that a personal fundraising challenge should be equal at least in terms of pushing the boundaries.

100kms in 10 Days

So I have decided to take a long planned solo trip by canoe into the vast Canadian Interior and to try and achieve a wilderness survival epic - to push myself to the limits and to pit my survival skills against the Black Bears, Black Fly, Mossie's the size of Sparrows and Wolves...well,  the size of Wolves.

I am off 6 July and hope to be back to start a new chapter on 20th July, so typically I have given myself the shortest time to prepare...

I hope to send updates through Facebook and Linked In - but to make this all worthwhile I really need you to commit fundraising support to LINC through the Just Giving website.  I am paying all my own costs and none of this comes from sponsorship.  I am counting on friends and colleagues to make each paddle stroke count towards LINCs great work.
