So what is the Open 24?
Well when my old buddy Roger talked me into entering the race I had no idea either but, in a moment of 'irrational exuberance', I agreed to enter anyway .
What a big mistake that was! Turns out the Open 24 is a bit of everything you can think of - running, cycling, kayaking, abseiling, canyoning, swimming, orienteering etc all non stop over a 24 hour period - what a nightmare! What a duff idea!
Then I bumped into Claire, a friend who suffers from MS, and suddenly I figured out that there might be a way to make this ridiculous idea make sense. No idea if I'll complete the challenge but if you can give up some loose change, I'll give up a weekend and see what happens.
Thanks
Mark
