On October 11th I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on behalf of The Abbeyfield Society. This will be my first half marathon, and apart from a couple of 10 km runs, is the first run of any significant distance that I have attempted.

Abbeyfield provide housing and residential care for over 7000 older people in the UK and across the world, and have many dedicated staff and volunteers. One of the special things about Abbeyfield is the companionship and support that is offered so that residents enjoy an independent lifestyle.
