<p>I have decided to dedicate 2011 to fund raising for the Royal British Legion and the Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team. Over the coming months I will participate in a number of events, some will be organised regional events such as The Great West Run and others will be self-generated including a Yorkshire Dales hiking challenge. Planning is still under way and I will use forum to communicate progress towards my target of £1000 per charity. All donations will be greatly appreciated and I ask that you split your donation between the 2 charities. Do not feel compelled to do so if you hold one of these charities in particularly high regard. For those who are supportive of both causes I ask that you donate to the charity that has the lesser amount if a divide exists. The aim is to get that 50-50 split.
