This is the fifth time that I have ridden with the Fireflies across the alps to raise money for LEUKA. 

The ride is incredibly gruelling both physically and emotionally. The group climb about 90,000ft in total over 1000km, in 8 days from Geneva to Cannes, ascend 21 mountains, and ride in the saddle around 10-12 hrs a day. However this pales into insignificance the journey that each cancer patient must endure to reach their own goal of recovery.

Many of you have sponsored me on several occasions and I want to thank you again for being so generous. However this is another year and your support is needed again.

The ride itself is funded by myself- so importantly all of your donations go to Leuka and towards helping people who are suffering with Leukaemia. Leuka raises money to support life saving research into the causes and treatment of Leukaemia. To date this ride alone has raised over £800,000. These funds are channelled into the Catherine Lewis centre, the results truly inspiring
