The Coast to Coast Route is about 190 miles and the details of the event are shown below.... 

·         Start Date: - 6^th June 2011

·         Time to Complete: - 10/11 days hopefully sooner.

·         The Motivation: - To raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in Memory of my late brother-in-law Simon Reed who sadly passed away on 8^th June 2010 after a second bout of cancer at the age of 45.  

·         The Challenge: - Walk unsupported carrying all necessities on  the original Alfred Wainwright Coast to Coast Route, West to East from St Bees Head to Robin Hood’s Bay, walking everyday accompanied with Mad Maddie my 2 year old cocked spaniel (photo supplied). A daily log/diary will be maintained with signed verification with times and dates from landlords (simon would love this), postmasters, shop owners to verify completion of route when available.
