My story

We succeeded! Was extremely hard work - monsoon weather on Sunday morning that I wouldn't want to drive in, let alone, cycle in; the massive hill climbs on day 2 London to Brighton, which culminated in climbing the infamous Ditchling Beacon; the roadside puncture repair in dusk on day 3 in France; and the hair-raising experience that cycling in rush-hour central Paris is! Very proud of myself, and the whole teams efforts, and also of everyone who has donated and help to raise funds for Freekicks. We love you all! Same again next year! Ahem. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am cycling over 360 miles to Paris with several other riders in April / May this year, over 4 days, to raise money for FreeKicks Foundation.

FreeKicks is a Peterborough based charity whose aime is to provide football-related activities for ill, bereaved and disadvantaged children, to give them a day to remember with their favourite football club.

Those who know me well enough will know that my default mode is lazy! Unfortunately to take on this challenge I'm having to be a little more active and do some training! Please, please, please donate some money to this good cause in order to make this HUGE effort worthwhile! It will help put smiles and make the days of lots of children that FreeKicks will help. And it will be a good motivation for me to get myself through it. Plus when its done I will have a mega sore arse! So surely its worth a few quid just to know i will be in pain! I will try and get a picture of me on here lycra-d up in due course! Give the people what they want and all that!

Thanks in advance!  :-)
