I am happy to say I did make it up and down safely on the 14th Oct with a little help from my fellow climbers! I have added some photos of the summit. By climbing Carrauntoohil, Ireland's Highest mountain, I  hope to raise money for the Ireland Fund of Great Britain which supports the vulnerable and elderly Irish in Britain, particularly the Irish that migrated to Britain in the decades following WWII.

The climb is dedicated to my late mother Mrs Mary O'Driscoll, nee Stack, (1936-2010) and is planned for 14th October, while I am in Ireland for her funeral.
