Update - 4th May 2011
------
Hey everyone. Thanks for all of your kind donations so far.
I still can't walk well :)
I managed to complete the marathon in 5 hours and 4 minutes. It was a lovely day and I enjoyed the run (apart from the zombie walk at the end which hurt quite a bit).
I feared the Antrim Road stretch the most but it turned out to be the best bit for me. Mainly because they started giving out whole bottles of Powerade at that point, which runners promptly discarded by the roadside and being part-opportunist part-tramp I downed 4 of them in a 3 mile stretch.
Human camel I am. A camel that loves Powerade.
That analogy did not work.
I'll add in official race pictures once they are published on the internet along with a few that were taken by family after the race.
By the way my glasses nearly did come off at one point. Some idiot blasted me with a garden hose on the Antrim Road and I took a direct hit to the head.
You can see more pictures of my run and some videos at the following address.
I'm now working towards completing the Dublin Marathon on 31st October 2011. In preparation I've a few half marathons lined up.
June 15th - Lisburn Half Marathon
July 2nd - Birmingham and Black County Half Marathon
September 4th - Great Scottish Run
September 17th - Dublin Half Marathon
October 16th - Cardiff Half Marathon
I'm running the Dublin Marathon for the Northern Ireland Hospice and you can reach my page here.

Hello there.
This is my whip-around-sponsorship page where you can be kind and sponsor my running of the Belfast Marathon on 2nd May 2011.
I am running for Team Macmillan and am hoping to finish the race without either my legs or glasses falling off at any point.
