Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
OK, here it is:
Like the charge of the Light Brigade, a valiant but ultimately unsuccessful first outing in the boxing ring. I will be back (family permitting ...)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utpLmtO8om8&list=UUDBUSZw3x6fU9cFLUKcanYA
Last year my son, Will, spent a week in the children's ward at Nevill Hall. The nurses and doctors were fantastic, but the ward is badly in need of improvements. I wanted to raise some money for the ward and all your donations will be given directly to the children's ward at Nevill Hall, by me in April. I hope they will be able to spend money I raise on badly needed essentials like new wheelchairs.
To raise money I am taking part in my first ever boxing bout at the tender age of 46. I am currently training (hard) with zerotoheroboxing.com and will be taking part in one of 20 bouts in front of a crowd of 2000 at the Hand Arena, Clevedon, N. Somerset on April 12 2014. If you would like to come along, you can buy tickets at http://zerotoheroboxing.com/event/bath-2014-season-1/.
It will be a scary experience, but nothing compared to having a child in hospital. I can't thank the staff at Nevill Hall enough - they couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. Every pound or two will help make their jobs easier and the children's stay in hospital more pleasant.
Thank you!
